I decided to go to this salon because it was super close to where I live. Also, I saw nothing but good reviews of this place so I decided to try it out. I met Jack at the entrance and at first, there was a bit of confusion because I said I had an appointment for Isabel and he thought I was getting my nails done. But I told him my name is Isabel and I made an appointment for a haircut, then we laughed at the coincidence. After a short intro and consultation to what I wanted, Jack was very nice and sweet. During the process he would explain why and what he was doing with my hair. The result was more than I expected: it was better!

I just got my hair color and cut at Caoba and walked out feeling younger and reenergised. I’ve been coming here for the past 12 years and swear there is no better hair stylist than Jack in our area, yet his services come at a very reasonable price. He takes time to ensure your cut is perfect and honestly, it’s entertaining to watch his technique, as if he makes sure that every single hair is in place. I highly recommend Jack!

THE GOOD: Best haircut in my 69 years on earth! My hair is thick and grows fast. Normally after one month it starts looking like a bush but somehow the way Jack cut it, my hair still looked nice. And his prices are reasonable. THE BAD: Shortly after finding him, I finally made the move out of Seattle to get away from the rising crime, homelessness, political corruption, and the high cost of living.

I have curly hair, and Jack does a really great job. My hair has been getting healthier every time that I come to this salon. Also, I've been going here for 7 years continuously and I won't trust anyone else with my hair as Jack knows what he's doing to my hair type. He's very friendly, and likes to converse while he's doing hair, to make a nice ambience for the client. If I could I would give him 10 stars. Overall, I highly recommend this salon, as he's very professional at what he does best.

When I came across the Caoba, it was open, a sign said walk-ins welcome, and a parking spot right in front of the store. As he waited and watched the hairdresser working on a young woman, it was clear that the gentleman hairdresser knew his trade. Jack, as it turns out was his name. Let me tell you, he knows his trade. His wash was outstanding, the scalp massage -wow- He listened to my sad story of how after cutting my hair, it was in dire need of a fix. And that I need a tattoo on my forehead that says: "don't cut your hair". That Jack cut it, he fixed it and I left super happy. Now here's the thing, it's only been a few days, and twice I've complimented on the great haircut and asked for the barber. They gladly took a picture of your business card

I’ve been going to Caoba Salon for about 6 yrs I positively love Jack is work is SO good. He really listens to his customers as to how they want hair done. Jack does fabulous cuts and great hair color. My hair is fine and short but I’ve seen him style ladies with long thick hair doing foil highlights and they look amazing when he’s Dione. I’ve seen him cut men’s hair and children’s and each time they look great when done. In my opinion Jack works on everyone and does such fantastic work no matter what texture the hair is. Jack is very fair in pricing and does fast beautiful work on every customer. He’s the best of all the stylists I ever had.

This was my first time using this salon. I've got to say compared to other salons I've used (including Gene Juarez, Vasuda Salon, Jcpenney salon ect..) Caoba is one of my favorites! Jack is professional, experienced, clean and knows hair. I came to him with 7+ inches of root grow out. My hair was frizzy, splitting ends, damaged and had a dull almost ashy dark brown roots. I'm a stay at home Mom who had completely let herself go. I had a memorial service to go to in my hometown in 2 days. 😟 He got me in and even though I was running late...did not rush right in or hurry me. He was patient. When I walked in he sat me down and took a thorough look at my hair. Together we went over options that were based on what I wanted and what my damaged hair could handle. I was nervous because I'd suffered "hair trauma " in the past before. I'd taken chances on stylists and it had turned out not so good in the past. I put my faith in Jack. He did highlights and lowlights with a toner, conditioning and cut. He styled it afterwards and put some really great protective product on it that had the best smell..shiney too! The product also made the frizz go away! What I'm trying to tell y'all is what he did to my hair was art. It is amazing! I'm so happy with it! Definitely better than I'd hoped for. I am super lazy when it comes to my hair and haven't had a haircut in a about a year (maybe almost two). Let's just say my hair was long, dead and dry looking. Jack was excellent. He knew actually what I wanted and then some. Not only did he keep my long length like I wanted, but also made my hair beautiful again.

Best Japanese Hair Straightening for amazing price Jack saved my hair and sanity. When all other stylists told me they couldn't apply Japanese hair straightening to dyed hair, he listened carefully, then told me he could help. Long-story-short, Jack is a knowledgeable, consumate professional. He listens and really evaluates your hair, then chooses the best option. He used a Japanese hair straightening product that works with dyed hair. He is no-nonsense but friendly, confident and extremely efficient. He charged me even less than I expected because my hair was not quite shoulder length. I went in a poofy mushroom head and left with soft, shiny, sleek hair.
Love going here. The staff is very friendly. They listen to what you envision your hair to look like and will give advice. They work towards giving you the best look ever. highly recommend them

Amazing customer service!!! Clean place. I just told him to do something different and I really liked my new hair cut. The location is pretty cool and they have a small parking garage. While chit chatting, I found out he started cutting hair when he was around 15 to 16 years old! If ur normal hair person is not available or ur just looking for a new stylist come check him out!
